Jack #5 – Halfway Home

Jack #5 – Halfway Home

Before I devote my time to a new compilation, there’s a little unfinished business to take care of; a selection of some of my favourite tunes from the first half of 2011. I try and do these most years for my own purposes; this was prepared for the blog during its first spell of existence, but never got around to being uploaded.

Apologies for the slightly dated nature of the selection. I also do a fine line in topical comedy; I’ve got some great Napoleon gags.

Stendhal Syndrome - Emma #2

"Stendhal Syndrome, or hyperkulturemia, is a psychosomatic illness that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, confusion and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly beautiful or a large amount of art is in a single place. The term can also be used to describe a similar reaction to a surfeit of choice in other circumstances."
